About Me
- Name: Eric Damian Christen
- Location: Grass Valley, California, United States
Born and raised in Tigard, Oregon. Cum Laude graduate of Corban University in Salem Oregon (B.S. Education/Social Science-‘91). Taught in public schoools for four years. In 1996 helped to run campaign of a congressional candidate and has been involved in politics ever since. In 1998 was the state field director for two California initiatives, Prop. 226 (Paycheck Protection) and Prop. 22 (Defense of Marriage). In 1999 Eric was hired as the Executive Director of the Coalition for Fair Employment in Construction. In 2002 named one of the “40 Under 40” by the East Bay Business Times. Has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and on National Public Radio. Writings have been published in the San Francisco Chronicle, San Diego Union Tribune, Sacramento Bee, and the Orange County Register. Eric married Karyn Lynn Thomas on New Years Eve 1999. Major Christen is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and is currently a pilot at Beale Air Force Base in California. Eric and Karyn attend Cornerstone Church in Grass Valley and have three beautiful children; Damian, Sophia, and Gabrial ages 10, 7, and 2
